Hey, I'm Claire
I work as a project manager. I'm a parent. An expat living in Paris, France.
Several years back I moved here with my family. What began as a short-term assignment gradually became a new life chapter overseas.
How It Began
Moving to France wasn't in the master plan. Like many expat moves, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far bigger.
The initial months were demanding — new systems, new routines, new expectations. Everyday chores felt more challenging than expected.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and plenty of learning on the fly. Yet gradually, routines settled in. We found places that suited us, met other families, and began building something that felt steady.
Why I Created XujefIwifrUzuah
Most information online was either corporate relocation guidance or superficial tourism content. What was missing was an honest, everyday family perspective.
This site exists to fill that gap — practical advice drawn from real life in France.
What This Site Is (And Isn't)
This site IS:
- Practical insights from life in France
- Centered on family life and everyday realities
- Updated whenever a real change occurs
This site ISN'T:
- An official tourism authority resource
- A platform for sponsored reviews
- An ordinary travel blog
Looking Ahead
Our stay in France continues, and the learning journey goes on. As long as the information remains helpful, I’ll keep recording what we find.
If you have questions about family life in Paris or anywhere across France, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Best regards,
Claire
